Service

Besides ZTA's main philanthropy, Breast Cancer Education and Awareness, our chapter contributes to many other service projects locally as well! You can read below about some of the service projects we do each year.

Cheaha Regional Humane Society
Our sisters love going to the Cheaha Regional Humane Society to spend time helping with anything they may need, from painting, to cleaning, to playing with the pups!

Jacksonville Boys and Girls Club
At least twice a month, we take a group of sisters to the Jacksonville Boys and Girls Club to spend time with the kids there, help with homework, and play games.

Legacy Village Assisted Living
Many times throughout each semester, our sisters spend time with the residents of Legacy Village Assisted Living. Playing bingo, painting finger nails, Christmas caroling, or making crafts; whatever we're doing, we love our time at Legacy Village!

Service Chapters
Once a month, we have a "Service Chapter." Each month the chapter chooses a different cause to donate needed items to, such as the Women's Hope House or a local food bank. Then at our chapter meeting, each sister will bring one item to donate. When all 100+ members of our chapter bring at least one item, it adds up to an awesome amount to be donated!

Soup Kitchen
Our sisters volunteer time at a local soup kitchen to help with serving food and any other needs that we can help with!

Jacksonville Public Library

Sisters had the opportunity to make Valentine's Day cards for the residents of Legacy Village Assisted Living along side Pi Kappa Phi. This was a service opportunity put on by the community in conjunction with JSU Greek Life.

JSU Blood Drive
Many ZTA sisters donate blood at the JSU Blood Drive each semester, and many assist with refreshments and sign-in.

Zeta Tau Alpha JSU Scholarship
Part of the money that ZTA raises each year is earmarked for their JSU scholarship where one JSU student, not a member of the sorority chapter, is awarded $1,000.
